Ezekiel 1

The prophecies of this book
were spoken and written in Babylon,
to the Jews who were captives there.
Ezekiel prophesied in the beginning of their captivity,
to convince them when they were secure and unhumbled;
Daniel, in the latter end of it, to comfort them,
when they were dejected and discouraged.

Ezekiel 38

(Prophecy against Gog)

1And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: 6Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

7Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. 8After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. 9Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

(Пророчество срещу Гог)

[38:1]  И биде към мене слово Господне: [38:2]  сине човешки, обърни лицето си към Гога в земя Магог, към княза на Рош, Мешех и Тувал, изречи против него пророчество [38:3]  и кажи: тъй говори Господ Бог: ето, Аз съм против тебе, Гоге, княже на Рош, Мешех и Тувал! [38:4]  Ще те върна и ще туря халка на твоите челюсти; ще изведа тебе и цялата твоя войска, коне и ездачи, всички добре въоръжени, голямо пълчище, в брони и с щитове, всички въоръжени с мечове, [38:5]  перси, етиопци и ливийци с тях, всички с щитове и в шлемове, [38:6]  Гомера с всичките му полкове, дома на Тогарма от северните предели, с всичките му полкове, много народи с тебе. 

[38:7]  Готви се и тъкми се, - ти и всичките твои пълчища, събрани при тебе, - и бъди им вожд. [38:8]  След много дни ти ще потрябваш; в последните години ще дойдеш в земя, избавена от меч, събрана измежду много народи, на Израилевите планини, които бяха дълго време запустели, но сега жителите й ще бъдат възвърнати измежду народите, и те всички ще живеят безопасно. [38:9]  И ще се подигнеш като буря, ще тръгнеш като черен облак, за да покриеш земята, - ти и всички твои пълчища и много народи с тебе.

1	Saying - God now forewarns the Jews, what enemies and troubles would interpose, before he would fully deliver them.	Слово – Сега Господ предупреждава евреите на какви врагове и неприятности ще се натъкнат преди напълно да ги освободи.
2	Gog - This cannot be one single person, or prince, though perhaps it points out some one, by whom the troubles foretold were begun. Some believe the time is still to come, wherein this prophecy is to be fulfilled. And that it must intend those enemies of God's church who descended from the Scythians, and are now masters of Cappadocia, Iberia, Armenia, or are in confederacy with the Tartars, and those northern heathens. But others think, all the enemies of Israel in all quarters, both open and secret are here intended, and that the Antichristian forces and combination, are what the prophet foretells. Magog - Magog is, at least, part of Scythia, and comprehends Syria, in which was Hierapolis. taken by the Scythians, and called of them Scythopolis. It is that country, which now is in subjection to the Turks, and may be extended thro' Asia minor, the countries of Sarmatia, and many others, under more than one in succession of time. And in the last time under some one active and daring prince, all their power will be stirred up against Christians. Някои считат, че времето тепърва ще настъпи, когато това пророчество ще се изпълни. И че то трябва да означава онези врагове на Господнята църква, които са произлезли от скитите, и сега са господари на Кападокия, Иберия, Армения, или са в конфедерация с тартарите, и онези северни езичници. Но други считат, че тук са означени всичките врагове на Израел във всички предели, било открити, било тайни, и че антихристиянските сили и комбинации са онова, което предсказва пророкът. Магог – Магог е – поне – част от Скития, и обхваща Сирия, където се е намирал Хиерополис. Завзет от скитите и наречен от тях Скитополис. Това е точно тази страна, която сега е подчинена на турците, и може да се простре из целия Близък Изток, страните Сармация и много други, подвластни на повече от един през времената. 6	Gomer - Inhabitants of Galatia. Togarmah - Paphlagonia, and Cappadocia. The north quarters - The more northern people, the numerous Tartars.	Гомера – Нацелниците на Галация. Тогарма – Пафлагония и Кападокия. Северните предели – По-северните народи, многобройкните тартари.
7	Be thou prepared - God and the church deride this mighty preparation.	Готви се – Господ и църквата осмиват тази могъща подготовка.
8	After many days - In the latter days of the Messiah's kingdom among men. In the later years - These must be cotemporary with the many days already mentioned. Thou - Gog with all thy numbers. The land - The land of the Jews, a people recovered from captivity, into which the sword of their enemy had brought them. Always waste - It is already two thousand four hundred years since the ten tribes were carried away by Salmanezer. But it - The land of Canaan, that is, the people of it.
