MAYBE
To walk in sin
tormented and repentant,
to shudder guilty, shy,
and seized by infinite dismay,
and put up a stern face,
be righteous and brightful,
with vice well-hidden
and virtues but for show ...
To waver in uncertainty,
live in a counterfeited fake,
turning onto God,
obedient to devil;
to pledge yourself to virtues,
and be a slave to evil,
to love life dearly,
and be in grave, but living,
and your struggle to remain
forever lost to others -
it is my fate, this...
And yours, maybe!
